Vortex round table by Bence Szűcs

Visually gorgeous table design by the Hungarian Industrial and Product Designer Bence Szűcs with the Vortex round table. “The table’s body is cored fiberglass or carbon fiber reinforced plastic, which supported by an inner steel structure to a steel sole, which is hidden inside an optimal, flexible plastic rug under the table creating a high stability and covering its static clarity at the same time. The whirl’s form welcomes back at the top of the table as a built-in bowl for any utilities.”

In people’s mind a table is basically an object with four legs. What would it be, if it were otherwise? There are several solutions in existence, which contradict this fact. A table’s static appearance always visible supported by clear physical properties, which creates natural view in our eyes. My concept was to rethink this phenomenon with a round table, which questions its statics and breaks common statements. My aim was to design a one-legged table, which informs a continuous speed like a tornado or a whirl in a hibernate scene.
