Concretus Speakers

Concretus Speakers

Beautiful project by the Lithuanian Industrial designer student Gražina Bočkutė with the CONCRETUS, a wireless bluetooth speaker made from concrete inspired in the tetrapods of the Klaipėda pier. “The contrast between natural, coincidental, rough concrete textures and sleek metal surfaces gives the speaker a unique look changing the usual speaker appearance. The user can easily control the speaker through bluetooth wireless technology. It blends with the interior and delivers the user new audio experiences. The name is a combination of two words: concrete and the description of the form – konkreti (lithuanian word for particular/specific/simple)”

I am a second-year industrial design student in Vilnius Academy of Arts. I find myself most interested not only in graphic design, furniture design, futuristic product design, technologies, but also calligraphy, illustrations, painting and animations. The design which attracts my eye and I wish to create is minimal, sleek, individual, smart.
